About Us

For more than 60 years, The Bridge Youth & Family Services has been helping youth and families build emotional wellness, strengthen relationships, and create successful futures. Founded in 1965 and originally known as the Palatine Township Youth Committee, The Bridge has grown into a trusted nonprofit organization serving children, teens, young adults, and families throughout Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

Our mission is to support youth and families in creating emotional wellness, strong relationships, and successful futures. We envision a world where emotional wellness and healthy relationships are priorities for all, and where every individual has the tools they need to thrive.

The Bridge provides a comprehensive range of services including counseling and therapy, mentoring, crisis intervention, family stabilization, ABA therapy, juvenile justice support, coordinated care, and community-based programs designed to meet the evolving needs of local families. Our multidisciplinary team delivers compassionate, evidence-based care that addresses challenges at their root while helping individuals develop resilience and confidence.

Serving youth ages 0–21 and their families across Palatine, Barrington, Schaumburg, Hanover, Elk Grove, and Maine townships, The Bridge works alongside schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, and local partners to ensure support is accessible to those who need it most.
