About Us

The Salt Creek Park District was established in 1956 and serves approximately 6,500 residents from Palatine, Arlington Heights and Rolling Meadows. Its mission is to provide for the community a quality park and recreation system that is committed to excellence in service and facilities, as well as being sensitive to individuals and economics. This small park district has a family-friendly atmosphere and staff that truly care about residents. The park district is best known for Twin Lakes Recreation Area and our popular events such as Summer Music Concerts, Youth Obstacle Course Race and the Harvest Hayride. They also offer an enriching preschool program and several summer day camps for children.
