Veterans' Benefits Workshop

Wartime veterans who sacrificed for our country in its time of need have access to a little-known pension benefit. Learn about veterans’ tax-free benefits of up to $2,500 per month that helps with the cost of assisted living or skilled nursing care for veterans, surviving spouses, widows and families at a workshop, which includes an all-American buffet dinner and tours of The Garlands.

Wartime veterans and their adult children are invited to learn the ins-and-outs of how to access the veteran eldercare benefit from presenter Thomas Pizur, speaker, author, and financial advisor accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The workshop will cover how to use your own life insurance to set up a fund to pay for care, how the Veterans Administration (VA) can help you pay for care, and ways to plan for Medicaid.
