NWSRA provides outstanding recreation and leisure activities to children and adults with disabilities, throughout the Northwest Suburbs. Beginning at the age of 3, through our programs and services, individuals with disabilities are afforded the opportunity to enjoy recreation and leisure activities within their own community. NWSRA is an extension of 17 park districts in the Northwest Suburbs and we are ecstatic that we are able to continue to bring specialized programs and support to each district to enrich the lives of the families and communities we serve, as we have for the last 47 years.
With the growing needs of our communities, NWSRA’s need to fund our superior services grows too -- that’s where Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF) comes in!
SLSF serves to support children and adults with disabilities through philanthropy for NWSRA and build a future that is diverse and inclusive by opening doors through innovative services and community opportunities. SLSF fundraises on behalf of NWSRA to benefit 5 major focus areas: Transportation, Scholarships, Inclusion, Athletics, and Programs.
