The Palatine Jaycees will be holding a contest to determine who makes the best pizza in the Palatine area on Sunday, November 16th from Noon until 3:00 PM at Durty Nellie’s Bar and Grill located at 120 N. Smith Street in Palatine.
Over 10 pizza restaurants that deliver to Palatine have been invited to compete. Papa Sarverio’s, Pizza Bella and Vini’s Pizza are just a few of the restaurants that have donated pizza to this annual community event, according to Jennifer Hickman, project co-chair.
Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children six years to 12 years old and children five and under are free. “Area residents will be able to vote for themselves who makes the best pizza in the area and at the same time help the community,” said Danielle Garcia, project co-chair. “The Bears game will be aired during the event. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction with great items to win. All proceeds will go to the Palatine Jaycees to help in their projects that support the community.”
