Did you know, The American Cancer Society is the most effective breast cancer-fighting organization in the world? It’s true. We’ve invested more in breast cancer research than any other cancer and have played a role in nearly every major breast cancer research breakthrough in recent history. Today, one in every two women newly diagnosed with breast cancer reaches out to us for help & support.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event is an annual, noncompetitive walk that raises awareness and funds to fight breast cancer. This inspiring event unites communities nation-wide, to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, and to educate women about the importance of early detection and prevention. The money raised will provide critical funding of breast cancer research and will help us provide programs and services to thousands of local breast cancer patients and their families.
Most of us have been affected by breast cancer in some way. The American Cancer Society needs your passion to help finish the fight against breast cancer. We would like to invite you to join us in the fight by partnering with the American Cancer Society for the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Northwest Suburban event on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Nowhere else can you make the greatest impact in finishing the fight than when you are a part of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
