Art in the Countryside features visual art, available to purchase, to welcome the community to meet and interact with people with disabilities.
The public is invited to celebrate Countryside’s 60th Anniversary and to attend the 9th annual Art in the Countryside. Enjoy refreshments, live music, face painting, caricature drawing, while viewing the art and mingling with the artists. The event will be held at Countryside’s Work and Training Center on September 19th, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. Countryside Association is located at 21154 W. Shirley Road in Palatine.

Countryside Association for People with Disabilities, a nonprofit organization. serving over 650 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in Lake and northern Cook counties, was founded in 1954. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities and their families and support them in their efforts to live and work successfully in their chosen community. We envision a community where all people can reach their goals of independence, employment and full participation in community life. Services are offered with the goal of supporting the full development of each individual’s potential and achievement of his/her life goals.
