Pilates is a whole-body movement system that you can apply to all aspects of your physical life. It incorporates fundamentals that help improve mind and body awareness, core strength, balance, decreases pain, reduces physical stress, and increases energy. Chair Pilates is an excellent starting point to begin practicing Pilates. For the class you will need a sturdy straight chair that will allow your feet to rest comfortably on the ground, a hand towel, and a tennis ball. We will explore joint mobilization techniques, coordination exercises that strengthen from the hands to the feet and standing exercises for balance and bone loading.
