SUMMARY:Elderwerks Age Well\, Live Well\, Plan Well Long-Term Care Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Age Well\, Live Well\, Plan Well\n\n \n\nNovember is "Long-Term Care Awareness" Month A perfect time to uncork the conversation on Long-Term Care planning basics in person and via Zoom. Including diversity and non-married partners discussion.\n\n \n\nMeet Carrol Brandt\, CLTC - Long-Term Care Certified\, member of the MIT AgeLab Planning for Longevity Network and founder of Brandt Financial Concepts\, Inc. \n\n \n\nOur community is diverse. Some may be confused when it comes to incorporating Extended/Long-Term Care planning into their overall financial plans. Questions about how to qualify\, partner discounts eligibility\, exclusionary language\, pre-existing conditions and more will be addressed during this conversation. \n\n \n\nLong-Term Care is defined as non-medical care needed due to chronic illness\, conditions such as Alzheimer's or care needed simply as we age and need help with daily activities. For many starting to plan\, it is a shock to learn that Medicare and medical insurance NEVER cover Long-Term Care. For others\, it's a pleasant surprise to find that it's possible to reposition taxable assets to generate tax-free income to pay for Long-Term Care. We will not address Medicaid but will focus on proactive planning.\n\n \n\nAll are invited to Carol's interactive Table Talk Series for an essential\, educational and fun-filled evening. Register to win and raise a glass to celebrate Brandt Financial Concepts' 40th year! \n\nReservations are required. RSVP with Elderwerks at events@elderwerks.org
